Joseph W. Turnipseed, MD

Interventional Pain Management Physician

My great uncle Carl Wendel was a physician who was known by his patients for his caring attitude. His patients knew he always had their best interests at heart. Uncle Carl was the inspiration behind my entering medical school, and I am thankful I had him as a role model.

I learned from my him the importance of compassionate treatment and a good bedside manner in medicine. I care about how my patients feel and will always take the time to explain to them why their body hurts and how I’m going to help to improve their pain and quality of life. By performing leading-edge treatments, I can stop pain in its tracks – and do so usually much faster than most patients imagine possible.

I am proud of the fact that I have achieved double board-certification and completed fellowship training in my field. I find it both personally and professionally rewarding to use my skills to help people like you get out of pain and improve your function so you can lead a more active life.
