My desire to become a physician began at an early age. Our family physician, Dr. Charlie Britt, was a huge influence on me. He really cared about his patients and treated them with compassion. My father taught me the importance of treating others as you want to be treated. I have found that if you listen to your patients they will tell you what you need to know to help them.
I was fortunate to attend the medical College of Georgia in Augusta. It was there that I learned the basic medicine that is the foundation for what I do today. I eventually found that Pain Management was my calling. The Pain Management Fellowship at The University of Cincinnati was on the cutting edge of modern medicine, and this is how I practice today.
The practice of pain management allows me to combine all of the caring and compassion that I learned from my mentors. I believe that you must consider the whole patient to truly help them. At Spine Diagnostic, we use moderate advanced treatments to help our patients alleviate pain and heal. It is an honor to practice with the physicians here at Spine Diagnostic.
